New AirNav RadarBox 5.00.53 Beta Upgrade

Sending via Custom Mail in combination with SSL is still not working.
After switching between Server and Custom and and a click on Apply the preferences box looks like the attached picture.

Strange.  We got it working in beta, see my settings attached.  Note that because BT Internet use YAHOO for email, I'm able to send via. the Yahoo SMTP server.

A couple of questions:
1.  What O/S - I'm guessing from your sig. Win7 64-bit.
2. Can you check in your Radarbox main folder, do you see these DLLs - libeay32.dll, libssl32.dll, ssleay32.dll

Other than that, check your password, etc.  I also notice that the button text on your preference box is corrupted - maybe your ANRB installation is corrupted?

Although running in Windows 8 successfully I only find 201151 aircraft after using database update which is less than when I used previous (now withdrawn) link to database updater.

Jim,

I presume you closed down and restarted after complting the update process.  If so I would suggest that you have more than one instance of RB on your computer and the update will have went to the wrong one.

I have restarted RB and on opening it states 'optimizing database' then 'applying database update' and this is within 5.00.53. Also the program hangs for a while showing 3D on toolbar (for which I am not subscribed) and then reverts to my normal 2D mode after a couple of minutes.

Have you used Windows search to look for how many instances of Navdata.db3 you have on your computer, if it was going to the correct Navdata you would have a count of over 208,000.  3D was available on 5.00.44.

I have RB2009 installed as well so I've ensured I've routed the installation to the correct path now, installed all the upgredes to the correct path also and tried updating db again but still do not get required amount of aircraft in database. It does show 2509 types though. Do I need to uninstall RB2009 and maybe do a complete new installation from my original cd?

Hi Tarbat,

DLLs are existing, OS indeed WIN7 64bit. Box software crashed during shutdown, so it was partially crashed already. After restart, text back to normal. But still no succes with mail.

Consider uninstalling 2009 and installing V5.00.44 full and then updating to the latest

Hi Tarbat, I was able to figure out what is casing the problem:

Finally I tried sending vie mail gogglemail account. I tried to sent the message to two (three) comma separated Mail addresse at one time. And I get mail delivery errors by my googlemail account. As soon as I reduced to one mail address it workled without delivery failures. Afte that I tried a single address with aol and yahoo settings. Both were working. As soon as I tried to two mail addresses custom mail isn't working with aol or yahoo. Googlemail states delivery fsaillures again.

So, seems there is a problem with the handling if the log shall be send to two mail addresses at the same time!

EDIT: Maybe someone else could try this, to confirm that it's not only me having this problem

Cool, reports sent by custom mail aren't truncated!

Same counts for the alerts. As soon as the alerts shall be sent to two mail addresses the delivery via custom mail fails. If one mail recipient is entered Alerts are working with custom mail.

Is not true, in this new version the report in unresponsive not the Mylog!!!!
