I see First Nation Airways aircraft are on the move. Possibly on delivery - FRN106 over Canada, FIRST104 over France at the moment.

Picked up "FNB" FIRST104 this afternoon scuttling south just west of Manchester - unfortunately I'd become engrossed in a newspaper article, and by the time I glanced at the laptop,he was just out of sight

:-(

I'll put it down to a rather turgid day of nearly wall to wall Easyjet and Ryanair flights?

And I thought all Sir Clive Sinclair's C5's had been scrapped????

(for the younger one's amongst us, in this case, a C5 isn't the mighty Galaxy!!!)

Just caught D-AIME Lufty 380 routing New York Frankfurt

First time I've picked up these blighters across the pond - is this now a regular service, or a one off using this aircraft type

Apologies if this is really mundane, but just stareted paying more attention to the box with the better weather, and as stated earlier, not seen a LH 380 before

Cheers

Rich

Rich,

If this was LH404/405 from Frankfurt to JFK, according to 'Airline Routes'  due to service adjustments involving Tokyo the route will be operated 12 times a week by A380 but only until the 21st April. From the 22nd April it reverts back to a B747.
So until then keep your eyes peeled.

Just noticed another 380 D-AIMB heading over towards the east coast of the UK on the network for anyone interested - should be around the Lincolnshire coast soon (17:56 as I type)

Edit - 18:09 approaching east over Glossop at FL340 - beautiful sight in the afternoon sun

Indeed. I can see SIA318 from WSSS fly to EGLL here. At this time of the year the sun is close to the sunset, but the airframes are still in the bright sun, slightly lighted from below very impressive and beautiful sights. Same counts for the early morning, when QFA32, SIA322 and recently QFA9 are heading for EGLL. Also a beautiful, but very rare sight: In the flights back to WSSS at early afternoon on winter days with extreme Blue and clear sky, especially if there is closed snow mantle,  if the airframes get lighted up from below by the sun's reflection.

And that's what I mean: SIA318 flying into sunset at about 7:00pm Central European summertime.

(Picture taken @ FL400 shortly before descending to EGLL, speed approx. 470kt)
