Hi
Done a search of usual sites. Some believe its a C17 but not confirmed and no serial.

Where abouts did you detect it and what was the msg count ?

AE2FA5 was detected on the 20th at 8.50am so it may have been a corruption of this.

It's a US Mil code.  another possibility as it has also been picked up in California before it may be USN and part of the CVN-77 Air Group.  Either way it remains unidentified.

The message count was 6. Start Time 08:17:01 End Time 08:20:51 Start Altitude 34000 End Altitude 6400. A pretty rapid descent! I am down near Portsmouth so maybe something to do with Carrier. I picked up AE2FA5 at 08:01 with a message count of 257 between 08:01 and 08:25 with a constant altitude of 34000 also.

I would suggest its a US Mil tactical code and as such will remain unidentified.

Hi

Sounds like it may be something to do with the Saxon Warrior exercise. Will be interesting to see if he pops up again or should i say drops in again.

On his way from Dublin to London.

Ha Rod - just picked that up over the Midlands and was about to make the same comment about Air France 1 - you just beat me to it! Nice to log it though.

Guess this is some support flight to Air Force One?

Doh - just read this thread for today and see Squad 701 has already confirmed that!

The C-32 SAM 91 is carrying the rather extensive press corp for the trip

Crossing the UK now heading for Ireland and maybe beyond is N181LF (ex A9C-BAY of Bahrain Air) being reposessed by the lessor.   It is still miscoding its old Bahraini code.

Hello

There must be a meeting of gyros today somewhere in the north of Scotland today (probably Wick).
