Just picked up and watched US Navy E6A Mercury "AE0411" depart my temporary local airfield, using full ADSB and "GO TO FMS" as his flight id. Should be 163919 according to GAS.
My temporary location? On holiday, currently in my hotel room overlooking an airfield at 21N/158W!

Ah - so it's you, Roger! I've been seeing your returns on the network recently as reported in the Unusual Radarbox Locations thread.

Could you please stay in Honolulu forever? Or at least leave your RadarBox there;-)

I've got what is showing in My Log, as Mode S  157714 Russian Federation, no further details - anyone else got this one showing - any ideas as to what it is?

Googled it and come up with this

http://jetphotos.net/link/photo_link.php?id=157714

so presumably non-military, apologies!     What a wally!!! - just realised this is the photo index no., nothing to do with the aircraft ID.

You're right about the non-military part - it's the weekly Cubana IL-96 into Gatwick, CU-T1254, using the hex code from its previous Russian identity RA-96020.

Hi Tarbat,

He landed at Fairford and took off around 13:45. Squawk was 4451 so I reckon he was returning Stateside.

Sorry to disappoint you, but it must be 30-odd years since I last saw a Kon Marine Tracker.

I'm afraid it's yet another example of the aircraft details/photo bug - what you picked up was neither of the two aircraft pictured, but a French Army Socata TBM-700.

(the photo on the left is actually taken in the Militaire Luchtvaart Museum in Soesterberg!)

AirNav don't like me saying that there will be a fix for this problem soon, so I won't  :-)
