FYI Exercise in progress at the moment is "Wycombe Warrior" running until Thursday. Most of the A/G action is at Spade.

Foreign a/c involved: FAF Mirages and Rafales,  GAF Tornado IDS, F16s from US, Belgium and Norway. Eyes peeled :)

Been tracking on PP Mlat 43C2E1 Pilatus PC-9 ZG969. This aircraft is used by BAe to train pilots contracted to the Royal Saudi Air Force to instruct on the type. Some 50 were supplied to RSAF under the Al Yamamah deal.

What is it with the QID KC-135s that they display a flightID?
Earlier this week I had QID99 58-0100.

Yesterday and currently I have another KC-135 with a flightID, KANZA96 63-7977 which just departed KADW.

Depends whether or not the crew enter the flight id in the FMS/Transponder panel before departure. Under Eurocontrol regs the id should be set and match what is entered in the flight plan so perhaps the aircraft in question are Europe bound. Not sure what the FAA policies are in this respect.

The thing with KC-135s and maybe some other airframes are that they do have an ID programmed, it's just that the Radarbox doesn't decode it.  The SBS will.  This is one of the bugs to be fixed in 2.1.  That's why this is odd to me.  I've logged 64 different KC-135 since March 28 when I dumped old MyLog data.   These are the first two I've got an ID for.  Someone else in the area with an SBS always get the IDs.

Roger that. 5 out of 16 KC135s with IDs here in my log... thanks for pointing that issue out in the 2.1 development btw as I was a bit baffled as to why aircraft have been  popping up all over the place without Flight IDs.
