Just using negative for west and south, same as original setup for version 2

Hmmm..... no idea why RB isn't accepting your position.  Maybe a Vista 'thing'?

Got it to work once last night, restarted today and back to same problem must be something to do with the registry but no idea not really up on them. Very annoying though. Thanks for trying though.

OK, I run XP Home on my PC's and I haven't see this problem, so that's me fresh out of ideas.  I've certainly never had to muck about with the registry settings.

Whenever I do a fresh install, I always rename the OLD folder and accept the RB default for the new install.  I can then copy any files over that I want from the old renamed directory - but ONLY after I've made sure the new install runs OK first.

Am I the only one with missing network flights? No comments have been forthcoming. At the moment version 2 showing 1128 and v3.13 only 755! The missing flights are from all over the world and altitude is not a factor. Last night for instance around Kuala Lumpur version 2 showing 9 and v3.13 only 2. This morning SAS9146 on delivery over Norway with G-EZTN on his port side. Both on version 2, neither appearing on v3.13. An Emirates and a Eurocypria side by side on version 2, only the Emirates on v3.13.
Has anybody else noticed a reduction in network flights being received or am I on my own with this one. Any comments please AirNav?

I think I've cracked the location data problem for me, I started the program in demo mode then entered the location details, closed down the program then restarted it in normal mode and all seems ok for now.

@ GlyH

I had the same problem. Just select autodetect location and it will fill in lat long, ignore whats there and click ok.
Restart Airnav software and edit home location to your lat and long.

If only it were that easy.

Clicking Autodetect is unable to autodetect...:-(

Thanks & regards,

Hi Gary,

Using XP here...

3.13 only seems to install correctly if ANRB has been installed before?

Waiting for something from AirNav...

Kind regards,

GlynH,

Not quite true, we have had almost 500+ installs of 2010 so far and we have had no one emailing support with the the issue mentioned. It does seem as if there is spyware, antirvirus software running which may be blocking the creation of these certain reg keys. We are investigating.

John Hargreaves,

Firstly regarding your earlier post, network flights are only shown if your not receiving them locally. Therefore you cannot compare two machines running different versions if they are on different antennas. The software will download the same amount of flights but depending on your what your picking up, network flights will be cut down.

Glyn try starting in demo mode then go to location data on the preferences. I input my data in there and it was accepted. Once you've done that close the program down and restart, mine worked fine after that. Even closed laptop down and it started first time again.

Hope that gets you up and running

Stuart

Airnav,

Thanks for the reply but maybe I am 'being a bit thick here'. Both machines are now on the supplied aerial and the figures are - version 2 6/1039 (My Flights/Network) and v3.13 6/772. Some 250 flights appear to be unaccounted for. I am in the UK so missing flights off v3.13 flying over Malaysia, North Africa, and Syria for example are not going to appear in my flights. There are two Qatar A320s active at the moment 06A087 and 06A088 - they both appear in version 2 but only one has ever appeared in v3.13 .

Are you on using one machine with the Real Time network and the other with Delayed? Are the timeout settings the same?

AirNav,
All settings are identical. I only subscribe to the 5 minute delayed network.
