John,
3D needs the Google Earth Plugin which was withdrawn from use by google many month ago. AirNav Systems has therefore removed the 3D function from the latest versions of ANRB.exe too.
As far as I remember 3D was always something that had to be activated at AirNavs end and a connection to internet was required during software startup to get 3D running. I suspect, that with the recent website etc. upgrades/modifications the 3D validiation routines may have been completely removed from the servers. So if you startup the 3D option will appear until the 3D validation process is completed with status fail and therefore this submenu is removed.
This shall not be a problem as without the GE Plugin you won't get 3D up and running at all.
Some options of 3D is still available within RB24 Website. You can get RB24.com showing by using the following: e.g.:
www.radarbox24.com/stations/PGANRB300066 (replace my PGANRB with your own)
Unfortunately this will require the datasharing of ANRB.exe to be switched on.
