Yes like the original Radarbox or other dongle you will get the local flights the unit is picking up without network access

That depends what you mean with subscribing.

If you mean recurring costs: no, there is no recurring cost. Well, there is an exception: If you want access to real-time network data while using the Windows software you have to pay for it.

To use the Windows Software you need a username and password. As far as I understand, these are delivered with the micro RB and are not tied up to your name. Well, as long as you don't purchase it directly via AirNav Systems I guess.

To use RB24.com Website with additional features and without ads you need to sign in / register. After registered you can link your box and see your flight data on RB24.com. All these features are free of charge as long as you share your received data with the Radarbox network. (https://www.radarbox24.com/subscribe)

The given Information might not be complete.

Many thanks Ingo.
I intend to use the rig to have a real time display of planes around me, and I think it is not possible without suscribing.

I register to Radar 24 and tried to use AirNav radar box but there is an error when starting it, probably because of W10.

By the way, I think the unit is very similar to other 820T2 dongles that can be found fora few € on ebay.

Hi Balvenie

You don't need a network subscription to see what is in your local area.  I use my dongle when at airports to see what is around.  What error do you receive>

You should have no problems with W10 unless it is the W10.1 which came out a few days ago

Contact support@airnavsystems for assistance in operating the dongle

Bad connections will reduce traffic seen and reduce range
