Hi from Lagos;
Hexcode 040021 is an Asky 737, just landed as SKK024, no reg shown and as my laptop is playing up and wont load over half of any internet pages, I am unable to chase this up? One site that did work though showed the hex as ET-AMQ a 767 which it clearly wasnt.

regards clive.

Hi Alan;
Regarding yesterdays hexcode of 040021, it is ET-AOK Asky 737, regards clive.

Hi Clive,

ET-AOK should be using 040011 so its miscoding and I have added it in as such

Thanks again Terry.  BTW for info we only show the Owner/Operator where required and normally only show the operators details  i.e. a large percentage of airliners are leased and we only show the operating Airline and not the leasing company that owns the aircraft.  Normally we show leases where the lease is between two airlines or where one airline is operating for another i.e. CityJet/Air France

Hi Terry,

We have standardised the CO field in the database to owner/operator where this is needed.  The logo is derived from the flight ID anyway and not what is in the CO field.

The example you give is interesting as no where on the FAA list does Pegasus get mentioned but as you state Pegasus shows that it is in their fleet so looks like they are leasing it from the owners so no problem detailing Pegasus as well as the owner in this case. I also noted that PEG is not shown on the Airlines table so have added the PEG ICAO code to the database.  You also get the case where owners have their aircraft flown by charter companies which saves them maintaining flight crews/aircraft etc.  When the owner does not require the use of the aircraft, the charter company gets to use it and pays the owner for the flight use reducing the overall costs for the owner.  The charter companies flight ID is normally used with that aircraft.

Thanks again

Alan
