Problems with MyLog/Tools/Reporter

I have installed Beta 5, then v5.47 and at last v5.53.
The daily LOG MyLog/Tools/Reporter worked fine.

I now copied my old NavData.db3 and MyLog.db3 into my Folder.
I now have the newest NavData but

MyLOG/Tools/Reporter does not Show any aircraft any more and does not create the daily LOG??
(I use Windows 8.1, upgraded from Windows 8)
Any Ideas????

Are you sure you copied over the correct files and did you copy them over to the correct data folder as there is every possibility you have more than one instance of Radarbox on your computer.

I presume that myflights etc are showing details of ther aircraft you are picking up?

Are the flights on screen showing correctly, I presume they are.

Can you advise how many aircraft records you have in the aircraft table of d/b explorer.

Yes, they Show correctly,

there are 206897 records

The file NavData.db3 is 55.385 KB
The file MyLog.db3 is 338.281 KB

I have looked at my saved MyLog.db3 file on my USB-Stick and it is exactly the same size;
So it does not get bigger at Moment (maybe this helps to solve the Problem)

Does the Database update element of database explorer work OK using Update All Records.  You should have around 209,210 records after the update and restart.

Possible corrupted file I would suggest, do you have a navdata.db3 file saved somewhere that you could replace the one you are using and then perform the update again.  Might be an idea to replace the mylog file as well.

I tried what you said, but ist still the same result. By the way, if I update via the Database explorer, I only have 80174 records after Exit and restart.....

That confirms my suspicions Christian as you only have the original number of records the update is going to the wrong instance of Radarbox. 

Use Windows search to look for all instances of NavData.db3 on your computer and advise where they are.  There will be other instances of Navdata.db3 with various extensions after them but we are looking solely for NavData.db3

Hi Christian,

When you state databse folder what do you mean.  It should be in Airnav Systems/Airnav Radarbox/Data.  You appear to have part of the correct one as NavData.db3.20131125 (20.232 KB) is the one you are looking for however you only appear to have part of the file downloaded.  Did you let the green bar go alll the way to the right and then let the software process the data after which it advised you to close down and restart to finish the process.  The one on my computer downloaded today shows as 58,935Kb in size so a bit more than twice the size of youe one.

I am not on program files in any way having ignored the default install to avoid problems with the Windows virtual store.

My suggestion would be to uninstall Radarbox from you computer and install the initiinitial V5 full install the upgrade to V5.00.53 http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/ANRB/ANRB50044BetaSetup.exe  When offered the install path do not accept the default program files location but change it to C:Airnav and once installed then update the databse.

I now have the correct update file with the correct size. Very good.

But the main Problem still stays on.....

I Change the "empty" Mylog.db3 with my old one and I don`t get the Reporter.........

It is still the same that my Mylog.db3 with 338.281 KB does not get bigger, so the Program does not write in this file. More and more I think I will lose all my old datas......... and I have to start a new Mylog.db3......

To get sure about the Problem, I opened AirNAV 4.03 on my Laptop with my MyLog.db3 (338.281 KB) file.... and the Reporter worked.........

What can be the reason? Anyway I hope to solve the problem tomorrow
