I've got four ground stations that show up around Cape Town International.

I disable the display of these Ground station by:

1.) Quick Filter first box -> "Registration"
2.) Quick Filter second box ->  "<>"  (Not equal to)
3.) Quick Filter third box ->   "GND"

Ground transmitters hex codes which have been identified as such are in the database with the AR as <GND>.  These can be anything from Operations Vehicles, Sweepers, Fuel Bowsers, luggage lorries etc to Antenna masts etc.  They are fitted with transponders to allow them to be recognised and tracked by airfield surveillance radars but are unforunately picked up by Radarboxes or any other virtual radar system located in or near airports in exactly the same manner as aircraft on the ground are.

Just a suggestion, but for a future version of RadarBox, possibly 4.4??? (don't start!) how about a Preferences option to remove <GND> returns from the grid and map?

A lot of people (including me) won't be interested in ground vehicles etc, but perhaps they will be interested if they are actually there at the airport with their RadarBox.

Oops - just noticed that this is in the RB24 discussion - same argument applies to RB24 - how about a check box to remove ground vehicles without removing ground aircraft, Dev?

We will remove them from the server side. It's on our to-do list.

This has now been resolved.  All AR in the d/b as <GND> are stopped from showing on the network.
