My log problems
« on: January 22, 2013, 04:13:39 PM »
Hello
Not all of the aircraft i see on the screen in my flights can be traced in mylog. For example today 43C1DE and 380D3B and 43C3A2. These plains where for a long time in my flights but i cant find them back in mylog.
Do i have to change a setting?

Next question.
Does mylog only records the flights from myflights?

Hi Fred

Next time you notice the flights not appearing in MyLog, try doing a Refresh (or function key F5). That might help.

And yes, MyLog only logs MyFlights, not network flights.

Hi Fred

Silly question but I take it that you have the "Quick Set" box switched to "Today" in Mylog and that in Preferences / General / Mylog / tick the "Use Local time On Mylog".  I picked up 43C1DE today and it populated in Mylog no problem.

Hello Keith
All my settings are as you told.
I dont know why its not in mylog.
I'm not sure if the flight was tracked with adsb but because it was a mill flight i asume its not.
Did you also received the tornado flight 43C1DE . This one also was missing in mylog but it only showed up for a few seconds and then it was gone . I dont know how long a plain needs to be on the screen to be registerd in mylog.

Hi Fred

I pick up Tornados and other Mil virtually every day and I have no problem with them populating even with a low message count.  I do get the odd flights that do not populate even when I can see them by line of sight but I am told that receiving the signal can depend on the carrier strength sent by the aircraft and weather conditions. Also, the aerial position and its integrity are other factors.  How true this is I am not sure, I always hated electonics!
