Good question. The only thing I definitely know, is that 3D0973 has used flight id DECCX. Maybe it's a miscode based on equipment recycling. The latest Mk1EBs of D-EBVF I could find are from the past century. I'll put this hex and flight id on my "monitoring List". Sooner or later we will be able sort out this one. It's only a matter of time.

Yes, I agree A83885 decodes to ZS-RRN which is ex N629JS.

But ANRB still shows it with no call sign and with an American flag.

A518B1   N4275K not assigned by FAA.  Three previous holders, 1 now N426EA BE40, 2 now C-**** Fly Hard Trikes Stingray, 3 now N26U Ryan Navion.  Take your pick!!

No wonder this updating is so hard, cant beat a good Mk 1 eyeball from someone local

Alan

Did some more digging.....A518B1 has registered 9 times for me at levels above FL300.  My assumption is it will be N426EA BE40, since N426EA doesn't show up at all in my log.

John,

The hex code is allocated to the USA, therefore the flag shown will be the US flag as it comes from the code and not the registration.  Also you will only get a call sign if the aircraft is giving off a call sign as it comes from the airaft and not the system.
