BT, if all the columns of a AC entry are filled no look up in the central Database will be proceeded.

As far as I know there are two ways to force a auto re-population:

1st. Delete the complete record from the Database. Next time the AC's HEX address will be received the new -and then hopefully correct- Data will be added to your Navdatabase. The existing pictures of the B727 shall be overwritten.

2nd. Go to your picture folder and delete the pictures D-ABKI.bmp and if present D-ABKI,2.bmp. On next time the AC is received, the Software will look for the missing pictures and will detect the new AC Data and shall update your Database.

As far as I know a recurring check whether the AC Data is still correct or not, is unfortunately not part of the software at present time.

BT,

The database doesnt get over written by new data unless forced as detailed by Neroon79.  I would also caution that the existing pictures in your photo folder may also still be used so delete them.

Ok, so I need to go and manually double check every record I have to eliminate erroneous data population by ANRB?

That just doesn't sound fun.

This hasnt come as a surprise for you has it, where have you been!!!

It isnt erroneous data population, the data came with your system and was possibly correct at the time.  If you have a look in database explorer it will frighten you when you see the incorrect data.

The reason the update thread is running is because the records supplied with the box are a couple of years out of date, hence this thread and the reason why the updaters are hard at work as we write, have a read back through the thread.

Mind you when the new navdata file comes out you wont have the problem then with the particular record.  Before you ask I dont know when that will be but hopefully it will be soon as it is in test.

Thanks for the feedback Alan!

I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised, and given how long the dbase update threads and the unhappiness over outdated data has been around.

However this requires more time than I currently have to worry about sifting through my 15 or 20 000 records...

I won't hold my breath for a new database.

That being said, thanks for your patience with helping the users sort it out.

[PS: I think the B722's were phased out before ANRB was around...]
