With ref to reply #545,

AE2452 picked up in E Lancs yesterday pm with callsign changing many times between STORM11 & BOLAR12 during a half hour or so period.

I understand from previous postings that the Lakenheath F15s use the same ModeS code for different airframes and consequently the update team have an impossible task with them, but could any of our military enthusiasts explain why the same plane would change callsign during the same mission and why so many times?

regards,

Syd

Alan
Which hardly can be correct, because I have tracked this helicopter several times with CHX4 (Christoph 4) as flight ID. And Christoph is the callsign for the German Air Ambulance / MEDEVAC. It's likely impossible that the CHX flight id is used for a Bundespolizei helicopter several times. Finally the RTH info Page gives the prove: http://www.rth.info/stationen.db/station.php?id=4&show=4
