sync

Hi All
Is there a way to sync google map with aircraft height and location.???
I live less than 1/2 mile from egbb, i see planes pass my windows but
EVERTHING is totally WRONG....... just watched bmi 4008E6 G-MIDS pass.
Google said it was at 1500 feet, .....altitude in pane said it was at 950 ft
true altitude was around 450 ft,  when it landed, according to google, it landed
about a mile past the airport, and the altitude on the ground is always 300ft.....
......THIS is from the RB AND google.  AS this is SUPPOSED to be REAL time, it dosnt
seem very real to me.
Hope someone can help me with this.
regards lone

I have set the box to auto locate, and the QNH is set to 989.
Thanks for your response

Hi Lone, I would suggest you find and record your longitude and latitude accurately, and input these details to the RB program - have you access to a GPS unit, which is the best way.    Set your QNH to 1013 and give that a try, and come back with results.    How high are you - asl?
ANRB :  AOR AR8000 : Icom R-7000 : Icom IC-R9000 : JRC NRD-545 : OptoElectronics Digital Scout and OptoLinx Interface; Realistic Pro-2005 : UBC 800XLT - listed in alphabetical order, not cost, preference, performance or entertainment value!

altitude in pane said it was at 950 ft true altitude was around 450 ft

When you say "true altitude", do you mean above sea level, or ground level.  EGBB is 328ft AMSL, so 950ft AMSL would be about 620ft above the ground.

And when you say "Google said it was at 1500 feet", do you mean the 3D view in Radarbox?  If so, there's a bug with m vs. ft, so if it said 500m, it really meant 500ft.  See bug details at http://www.airnavsystems.com/bugs/index.php?do=details&task_id=18
