I know the Airnav receiver pick up the ADS-B from other aircraft, but is it capable of picking up ground based transmitters that are broadcasting TIS data?
TIS-B transmits on the same frequency as Mode S downlinks (1090MHz) so RadarBox will certainly pick up those transmissions - but does it decode them ?
AFAIK, both RadarBox and SBS currently only decode 6 of the ICAO downlink formats (DF4, 5, 11, 17, 20 & 21), whereas TIS-B uses DF18, so I don't think we'll see anything on our screens.
