Alerts?
« on: July 18, 2009, 05:05:21 PM »
Is it as simple as putting a registration number on the list and ticking the box? I do not seem to be able to make it work. I have Play a sound ticked and a wav file selected.

See this link for the UK SSR code allocation:

You can use any wav file as the alert sound.  The file provided with RB is D005.wav whic is in the /Data directory.

Hi all

I have been reviewing my alerts problem with v3 beta.

In V2 I had a 1000+ registration alerts which worked afaik flawlessly.  I had issues with wild cards in the hexcode field not always alerting.  As a number cruncher I need full registrations rather than wild cards in my alerts.

However, with version 3 I have noticed after the app has been running an extended period of time the number of reg alerts I get reduces until I virtually get none.  The only way to get around this is to stop and start the app.  It seems to me that a buffer/memory space gets filled and is only gets cleared when closing the app.

I try and avoid doing this too often as RB takes a while to startup.

Hopefully this will get fixed in later releases of the beta.

Hope this helps

Graham
