an G5 far far away from NZ, and at the highest altitude ive seen (almost FL500..)
its been watched north east of NZ not sure how many miles and if its still online

Hmmm...Gulfstream 4's and 5's have notoriously unreliable position reporting - never believe a word they say!
If you haven't done it already. search the forum for "Purple Rain" - often it's GLF's that are to blame.
