Aircraft data in Database Explorer
« on: April 03, 2009, 08:03:10 PM »
When looking in the Database Explorer function at the Aircraft table I notice that the "AC" descriptions are not consistent for an airline. An example of this is PGA Portugalia Airlines.

CS-TPI shows an "AN" as Portugalia
CS-TPJ shows an "AN" as PGA Airlines
CS-TPK shows an "AN" as PGA - Portugalia Airlines

Is there a way that I can get the airline titles to be consistent, apart from manually updating them to the correct title.

The AN field in database explorer is dragged from Airliners.net picture captions, so unfortunately in most cases it depends on what the person submitting the photo decides is the best description when he uploads it to that site.  To standardise any like this you will need to do a manual update.
