Feature Request with alert pop up
« on: December 13, 2008, 12:00:43 PM »
One thing I would find useful would be for a feature that allows one to click on the alert popup and it highlights the aircraft on the map, asuming that it is displayed on the map.

I think this has been requested before - I'm certainly in favour of it.

I think the distance away would also be useful in the pop up alert window.

Agreed. Seems an obvious thing to have doesn't?

Off on a slight tangent, I can't actually find on the Map any of my Alerts that pop up !

I've only raised alerts for My Flights, but I can't find the targets in question.
They show on My Flights but with restricted data (Flight level / reg. and flight no.)

It's not the end of the World, as it's about 70% BN-2 flights by the looks of things, but I've  missed a couple of C-17 and a KC135 flight.

I feel I've forgotten to do something, but I can't see what.

Still learning, so happy to be flamed for now :o)

DL,

That will be because the flights you mention, being military flights, do not transmit their position, so they are never going to show up on the map - only in the aircraft lists.

DL, as has been said before on many occasions, there are no silly questions :-)

When you think that you know it all, that's when you get caught out - this applies to life, the universe and everything!  I'm pleased to say that I'm still learning every day so hopefully I won't be tempted to try and tell anybody that I know it all :-)
