Question re Alert Log

Hi,
   I have only started using the Alert function of my RB today

   The alert worked - I asked it to alert me when an A380 appeared ( via network )

   I was away from pc when it alerted but my wife witnesed the audible alert & pop up message.

My question is how come nothing is visible in the "Alert Log" & how come I did not receive an E-mail to the address I have set up (ie my own)

Hi Bat21,

Sounds strange, if it was picked up and you got the notice message and sound it should have appeared in the alert log text box. Regarding email sometimes these may be blocked if your spam settings are strict.

Confirm you are using the latest 2009 version?

     Thanks for the reply - yep I am using 2009 version

      Will try setting up some alerts later in the week and see what happens -

       just wondered if anyone else was not having their Alert Log populated

Further update -

   removed the tick in the send an e-mail option & my Alert Log started working

Hi,

Not sure if it was related.

I send email alert to my website. There where very few hits between
2008-10-27 18:26:20
2008-10-26 19:59:53

I restarted RB and the alerts started arriving at my site. Could be that RB was hanging (I didn't take a close look) or related to the same issue you noticed.
