Automatic Start
« on: September 25, 2008, 02:15:56 PM »
I had a power failure to my PC due to work in street. Once power was back on my pc rebooted and the programs came back and started working all BUT Radarbox  just sat there waiting for me to push OK to start.

I do not see the logic of this as you need the hardware box for it to work and the codes could be buried in the XP registry and the software could go straight to the screen and start receiving

Any thoughts

Yes! I hate that too. It shouldn't have to wait for you to click something for it to start.

Start the application as anrb.exe /connect
And you will not need to hit the connect button. Let us know if it worked.

Can this only be run from a DOS prompt as inputting...

"C:\Program Files\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2009\ANRB.exe /connect"

...into the Target box in the icon does not work for me...

Can this behaviour be modified for the future please?

I see tarbat has finally got his long requested answer to commmand line switches in a recent post! :-)

Some good suggestions there...I'll be over in a minute!

Thanks & regards,

Glyn - right-clicking the RB icon and choosing Properties, this is how the parameter works for me.

Glyn, move the /connect outside the quotes i.e.

"C:\Program Files\AirNav Systems\AirNav RadarBox 2009\ANRB.exe" /connect

and you should find that works.

Not your fault - as Glyn said your reply was plenty clear enough Rod.

It was just me - late (well early) and just skipping through the posts before heading off to bed and not paying enough attention. I shall endevour to remain alert when on duty in future :))))

P.S. I'm gonna close the door now Glyn, there's a hell of a draught :)
