Strange behaviour
« on: September 15, 2008, 12:28:43 PM »
I have noticed some strange behaviour with Radar Box.
I'm still using 1.5, as many flights did not show up in the output in 2.0.
Will be using this until a patch is released from Airnav.

The thing that happens is that i seem to get some network flights on MyFlights.
Earlier today I got flights from Transaero Airlines, Boeing 747-219B, flight TSO9741 (modes 4001BB) and Delta Air Lines, Boeing 767-432/ER, N838MH (modes AB772D).

Here is from the output:

ENKB,MSG,3,0,0,4001BB,0,2008/09/15,08:48:41.622,2008/09/15,08:53:41.622,TSO9741,36050,473,279,61.9522,18.7542,0,,0,0,0,0
ENKB,MSG,3,0,0,4001BB,0,2008/09/15,08:48:43.293,2008/09/15,08:53:43.293,TSO9741,36050,473,279,61.9522,18.7542,0,,0,0,0,0
ENKB,MSG,3,0,0,4001BB,0,2008/09/15,08:48:51.637,2008/09/15,08:53:51.637,TSO9741,,473,279,0,0,0,,0,0,0,0

ENKB,MSG,3,0,0,AB772D,0,2008/09/15,11:30:40.903,2008/09/15,11:35:40.903,DAL,32000,458,288,61.9895,18.6119,0,,0,0,0,0

Is this a known "feature" in 1.5 ? If that's the case, is this sorted out in 2.0?

When I watched the screen, the aircraft seemed to be between Finland and Sweden...

The output data across the ports only show local information, infact the network data is only updated every 30 seconds so the messages details you show above have timestamps of less than 30 seconds difference.

Does MyLog show those flights picked up today as well?

Thanks for your answer. They show up in mylog too.
If you look at the position of the flights, they have about the same position.
And my position is lat 63.111944, long 7.82611.

Here is an example of other (probably detected normally with the antenna):

lat: 62.7965
lon: 7.9285

If you want I could send you the mylog.db3 file.

Some aircraft do sometimes (with faulty equipment) send out wrong position information.

The data that you have shown as above in first proves to us that it was picked up locally and its not a network flight as that data is not proccessed that way.

Is anything about the release of the patch?

I also wonder if there is anything new about this. I really want to start using the new version, but can't do before the patch since my service is dependent on correct data.

btw, it's been updated, and can be used on other areas than my own.
Now also with a list of the visits, link to all visits by a special aircraft and more.
Take a look at the main page (made for mobile phones, most often using this when I'm away from my computer) for my area (not the worlds busiest).

Check it out, would be nice if someone could come with new ideas for such a service and so on...
