7000 (almost!!!!!)
« on: July 22, 2008, 09:10:58 AM »
A major milestone for me.  MyLog has just reached 6,999 aircraft.  You wouldn't think that so many aircraft fly over the far north of the Highlands of Scotland.

Sitting here now just waiting for that 7000th aircraft!

Some other stats:
133 countries
308 aircraft types
1786 airline companies

Hey tarbat,

Congrats on the milestone...

Sounds like there's more aircraft than people up there then! ;^)

<ducking>

I shall be getting my RadarBox this week along with my mate Terry who has decided to 'bin' his SBS-1 as way of protest(!)at my thread being deleted over at the other place...seems to have affected him much more than it did me! ;^)

If we can get a deal on two I might just punt for an external antenna and an Icom IC-PCR1500 scanner also...we will have to see.

Kind regards,
-=Glyn=-

Thanks Glyn.

So, anyone want to bet what my 7000th aircraft will be?

Judging by your log in the first post it will be a Tornado...chasing a Rusian Bear with a bit of luck!

Or is that the job of the Typhoon now?

You'd have bet on a Tornado or a B737 wouldn't you.

However, my 7000th aircraft was ..........  ABABA8, registration N851GC, a Socata TBM 850.  Now that was unexpected.

Nice to see you got a real aeroplane for your 7000th :-)
I am waiting my 17,978th but I think I have a tad more traffic than you in the London TMA

It is a combination of data from my SBS1 first used in November 2006 with data regularly exchanged onto RB since v1.5 came out earlier this year. I run both machines together and the transfer using the MyLog Tools (import from SQB) only takes about 5 minutes each time I run it. I have had a RadarBox since they first became available in UK.

Mike

Ive got 7738 aircraft since October last year, Im near Manchester and the main problem is the same aircraft keep coming into Manchester & there is no activity from Woodford, thought I might get the modified Nimrod, but I suppose they have to complete one !

I pick up around 100-150 aircraft most of the time and get a steady stream of "first timers" which is why I love the hobby so much. You never know what will show up next, and it doesn't always matter that they do not track. Some of the most exotic aircraft only appear in the list.........
