Forum problem - can't see picture attachments?

Hi there,

I seem to have a problem with viewing or downloading images attached to posts in the forum...sometimes I see a picture attachment referred to and responded to in a thread but I don't even see the original link for the picture?

Other times I see the paperclip symbol and attached picture filename but when I click on it I get the following error message from Explorer;

Internet Explorer cannot download [path\filename]
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site.
The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Please try again later.

I have attached a screenshot - excuse my sense of humour! ;^)

Mind you this problem pales into significance compared to the problem I seem to have over in the Kinetic forum...remember my post that upset the natives that I referred to in my first post here? The one that was locked at my request?

Well it looks like it has been removed entirely...talk about censorship gone mad...

Even if I had decided to buy the SBS-1 over the RadarBox that action alone would probably have changed my mind...

Interestingly after a visit to my mate over the weekend who has got the SBS-1 he has now decided to buy the Radarbox - does commission get paid here? ;^)

You need to be logged in to see attachments. Try right click and 'saving target as', we expect its internet explorer security or bug.

hello mate I had the same trouble yesterday, not sure how i did it but I ended up reinstalling IE7 and tried it this morning with the default settings and it worked, I was able to open early logos from page 17 but not new ones but that is now ok, sorry not much help but thats what i did just reinstalled IE7

Strange thing is I am logged in and I can neither open or save it...just tried with my own attachment...

This same PC (W2K / IE6) works OK on other forums where I can both open & save picture attachments.

As it doesn't seem to affect the WinXP / IE7 PC sat next to it I guess the answer will be in somewhere in my security settings...

Well I had decided on the RadarBox above the SBS-1 and that friend of mine who has the SBS-1 will also now be getting a RadarBox but the inability to undock windows and display on a second monitor has stopped me in my tracks.

I would struggle to use it on a single monitor what with all the detail in the My Flights window.

Obviously others cope but once you have the luxury of a second monitor you cannot go back - I thought it was a gimmick some years ago when a friend of mine had two monitors on his desk - in those days bulky CRT's - but when I sat behind them to do a job I realised they were indispensable.

As just answered in another post we will be adding that feature in a near feature. Not for V1.6 as it is almost finished.

Chalk up another two RB sales next week along with the ACARS & Selcal decoders then...:-)

BTW, when I click on the green 'LEARN MORE' button in the AirNav Selcal decoder on your Home page I get taken to the AirNav Suite page.

It works OK when I click on the Selcal symbol though...

And my prize is...? ;^)
