Good News: Flight Number Retrieval
« on: March 17, 2008, 02:45:45 AM »
As our team never stops programming we are already working on an automated way to populate the route information on both MyFlights/Network tabs and MyLog.

In other words the application will automatically retrieve from the internet the origin/destination airports for a specific flight number. Will not be included in this version but will be available in a near future.

Well done guys

That will help a great deal, especially for those flights that don't display position.

An observation from the way that Acarsd corrects routes with letters on the end, like BAW009F.  Acarsd has it's own editable "translation table" that corrects the route to what it should be, to allow effective on-line lookup.  A very clever idea, although somebody has to prepare the translation table to start with!

Maybe AirNav could use a similar system when the route "autopopulate" is rolled out?
