Today our forum reached 5000 members.
We are the world's most important Virtual Radar technology forum on the internet.

Our team would like to express our gratitude for all the dedication every forum member devotes to AirNav RadarBox and to helping other users.

When we started we were just a few testing a brand new product coming to a new market, up to that time, controlled by a single company.

Thanks to extreme hard work in software and hardware development, in improving the quality of RadarBox month after month not only with new client software releases but with permanent deployment of new server solutions, AirNav RadarBox is and has been for a few years the  total leader in Virtual Radar technology (according to Virtual Radar systems vendors).

As we've always told our users work never stops at our company. As soon as ShipTrax is released we will devote all our attention to RadarBox client software improvements. We hope 2012 to be an year where we moved forward from simple tracking technology to much more advanced systems.

To the database updaters volunteer team, to all our team members and to all our forum members a big thank you.

A lot will be spambots, as almost all forums have as members, it 's an all day struggle with them...  :-(

It 's a disappointment that a lot of skilful members have been banned or left this forum all the way.
5000, yes a nice number, but it doesn't mean anything to me

We have a registration checker which matches ip and emails for spammers and then users are manually approved. This has been running for more than a year now and this was run over the current user base at the time and users trimmed. Of course there are still users that will get through the net but only a small amount.

Furthermore the number of users banned from this forum is less than 20. As usual there are always trouble makers in any group/forum and we have to take measures.

Adding to what our support wrote:

Unfortunately spambots are present on any internet forum.
We have installed some powerful addons that have limited the registration of fake users.
Nowaydays we don't have more than 1 or 2 false users being registered per each 100 real new users and absolutely no spam posts.

Regarding the banned members: this forum has rules and everyone has to follow them.
Respect for other forum members is something we will always look for, even for skilful members.
They were advised many times and unfortunately they simply refused to follow the rules.

This is a place for enjoyment and change of valuable data between users.
Our community is strong and alive, we have the most frequented Virtual Radar forum and we are working hard to bring more innovation to the Virtual Radar hobby.

Thanks Tarbat - obviously I am the one who is not privy to that info.
 
Nevertheless, on the basis of those figures, an average 4952 of our 5000 members are not online per day, which is quite a lot.

Any news on ShipTrax (in your capacity as tester)?

ShipTrax is finished and the first units will be shipped from the factory to our warehouse in one week.
We are now finishing the latest release details.
Finally ship enthusiasts will have a reliable and high-tech software/hardware.

Our team is very happy about this. Expect news within 10 days.
