Hope this helps
Yes it does.
It would be better to start a new post for these. The database updater team only have access to the aircraft. Any amendments to the other tables in Navdata can only be done by Airnav Development ie Airports, Airline codes, ICAO aircraft code, Routes etc.
As such us updaters cannot action your request above. If they are left in this fast moving topic, when development look to the next Navdata release, this type of request will be difficult for them to find.
Well, the same will happen, if this new post won't be pinned to the beginning of this Forum. It will vanish into the dozens of other "small" threads started in between. And as usual (almost) no one will use the search function to dig out this "old" request to add the next. If "we" start a thread about other database requests, it should be "nailed" to the first page of the Forum. Naming could be "General Database requests e.g. missing/wrong labelled airports..."
I agree with you, that it will be an enormous effort to go to the DB update Thread to find the general requests, but at least you only have to go through one thread and not through many fragmented over the whole Forum.
In this sense: Airnav crew, is it possible to establish the mentioned kind of "fixed" post on the first page of this sub-forum?
For new or added Airports, I believe the lat/long in the format used for the other airports in Navdata is also required as this derives the spot where the label is placed.
I know, how to add an airport -did this several time in the past- , but thanks anyway. The intention was, to still have the particular Airport in the Database after the next Update release.
Enough about this detour, back to topic.
