Hi Guys.

Over the past couple of weeks have picked up Challengers OE-INE/G/H operated by Vistajet with no acft type showing. I can remember having to update manually on the previous database as well.

Hello Ingo, X, Bob

All the ones you provided details for are added. I can find nothing for the others.

Tommyg - They are all fine in the database.

Thank you

Andrew

Hello Ingo, X and Dave

I did add D-CMMM the first time but for some reason it didn't get onto the database. It is on now though.

OE-GVJ and B-6755 are added now

Thank you

Andrew

Evening, this time I have a quite unusual Database request:

With next release please add the following Airport:

KPVG Hampton Roads Executive Airport / Norfolk, Virginia, USA (http://www.airnav.com/airport/PVG)

Thanks.

Additional question/request: I think, that it may make sense to use this thread as central "station" for any kind of other Database requests, like errors in Airport Data, missing Airports and any other topics that don't come to my mind at the moment. What do the "Updaters" think about using this thread as central point for any kind of database update requests?

Ingo

It would be better to start a new post for these.  The database updater team only have access to the aircraft.  Any amendments to the other tables in Navdata can only be done by Airnav Development ie Airports, Airline codes, ICAO aircraft code, Routes etc.

As such us updaters cannot action your request above.  If they are left in this fast moving topic, when development look to the next Navdata release, this type of request will be difficult for them to find.

For new or added Airports, I believe the lat/long in the format used for the other airports in Navdata is also required as this derives the spot where the label is placed.

The Navdata Airline code table in particular has only had very minor cosmetic changes implemented by Airnav Development since it was first created when the Radarbox was launched and it is woefully out of date.  Many long defunct airlines are still on the list, whilst many airlines currently seen on the network, do not feature on the list.

Hope this helps

Perhaps AirNav could sort a method to receive DB updates so that they can input the amendments.

Yes it does.

It would be better to start a new post for these.  The database updater team only have access to the aircraft.  Any amendments to the other tables in Navdata can only be done by Airnav Development ie Airports, Airline codes, ICAO aircraft code, Routes etc.

Well, the same will happen, if this new post won't be pinned to the beginning of this Forum. It will vanish into the dozens of other "small" threads started in between. And as usual (almost) no one will use the search function to dig out this "old" request to add the next. If "we" start a thread about other database requests, it should be "nailed" to the first page of the Forum. Naming could be "General Database requests e.g. missing/wrong labelled airports..."

I agree with you, that it will be an enormous effort to go to the DB update Thread to find the general requests, but at least you only have to go through one thread and not through many fragmented over the whole Forum.

In this sense: Airnav crew, is it possible to establish the mentioned kind of "fixed" post on the first page of this sub-forum?

For new or added Airports, I believe the lat/long in the format used for the other airports in Navdata is also required as this derives the spot where the label is placed.
I know, how to add an airport -did this several time in the past- , but thanks anyway. The intention was, to still have the particular Airport in the Database after the next Update release.

Enough about this detour, back to topic.

Dave.
This would be too easy. Nice idea anyway, although some one on the airnav end must/should check the received amendments. Why? Because there are many "strange" people on this planet, who may add a lot of non sense to the db if they get the chance.
