hello all, just to let you know I've just identified my first Typhoon, it was cruising along quite happily at 37000ft under the control of CRC Boulmer.

If anyone can fill in the blanks it would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations!!  That's the one I had a possible visual on in June - see http://www.airnavsystems.com/forum/index.php?topic=1043.msg7923#msg7923

Back then it was an UNKNOWN in Radarbox.

Only been using the RB for 5 days and seen plenty of Hercs, VC10's, C-5's and other heavies but just got my first 'decent' military track:

UK Army Apache ZJ233 tracked from 19:37:20 - 19:45:12

Wonder what he was up to?

Nice one besty,

I don't know about anyone filling in the blanks as you seem to have done well yourself but can I ask how you know it was at FL370 under the control of CRC Boulmer?

Probably a simple answer...:-)

Thanks & regards,

It was squawking 5111 which is a code for the crc at Boulmer, it was up today under Scampton again by the squawk code.

I picked up this between 18:29 and 18:33 UTC on the 8th Aug.  This OC-135B Observation Aircraft supports the Open Skies Treaty. The aircraft flies unarmed observation flights over participating parties of the treaty. More info from here-

I hear that two B-2's will be stationed at Fairford this week. It will be interesting to see if anyone spots them.

Picked up ASTOR4 (ZJ693) of 5(AC) Sqn out of Waddington at 43000ft on squawk 6443 (Swanwick military radar), has now moved to squawk 6401 and 44000ft.  I've had this on MyFlights for about 6 hrs.

I got that as well at 14:10:23 when it had moved to 44000ft. At the same time there were also 2 Hercs (XV299 and ZH867) and a US C17A (07-7171) around as well.
