Newbie Questiopns
« on: May 07, 2008, 10:39:09 AM »
Hi All,

Just got my box this morning and have plugged in in at work.

Haven't played around much so far, but a couple of quick questions on the interface:

Basically, how can I change this? All I need are the main screen and the grid with flights, the altitude bit and the window where it shows photos I don't need to see, but I couldn't find an easy way to get arid of these windows?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!

To get rid of the aircraft photos, use Tools | Show Photos/Details

To remove the vertical display window, either use F8, or Map | Vertical Tracking Window

If you don't want to ever download or view the photos, you can also use File | Preferences | RadarBox and deselect Download Aircraft Photos.

Also, if you are using Radarbox without an Internet connection, and the menus seem slow, goto Fil | Preferences | RadarBox and deselect "Share Flight Data" - you'll have to do this each time you run Radarbox as it defaults to on for when you use the Internet.

Have fun!

The altitude box under the map screen is toggled by the F8 Key.
Under tools you will find show photo/details

On my utilities website under utilities there is a keymap file for the program, produced by Rod B.

Or if you are still having difficulty finding stuff have a  look in there or the users manual.

Hi Steve, I'm on my "slow" internet connection at the moment, so next time you're going to beat me to the reply :-)

You are running 2007 which is v1.4

Upgrade to v1.5 which should show as Airnav Radarbox 2008

This is a more stable and all round better version, having solved a great many problems we were having.
