In reply to the post by Judwin45 on page 2 (quote didn't seem to work)

I can confirm that this works, without 'rolling back'.

I use the V6.00 software for both my old RadarBox and Micro and it works just fine on both after installing the Windows 8 drivers.

I disable driver checking permanently a different way though, I did it via an administrator command prompt. This way I wave a watermark in the bottom right of my desktop that says "Test Mode Windows 10 Home Build....." Which is mildly irritating but I'll put up with it :-)

Hi Rod - I also would appreciate info on how to disable certificates to use old drivers. I still have RB running on my 10.0 machine but expect 10.1 to push itself through soon, like it did with my other machines.

thanks

Hi.
I can tell you what worked for my laptop which is running 10.1

Hold down shift key and restart the PC.
Select 'troubleshoot'
Select 'advanced options'
Select 'startup options'
Select 'restart'
You will then see a list of actions. Select F7 to disable driver signing'
PC will restart automatically.

Hi Judwin45

tried that and it worked a treat. Many thanks. If anyone else tries the same, remember to remove USB for a few secs and re-insert before re-installing drivers.

hy Keith,
a big thank you for providing this fix ; all my systems are up and running again thanks to this.
it is just a shame AN lacks to provide solutions for problems they created, and rely on users on this forum to fix them.

Hi

In all fairness the 'bones' of this fix came from Air Nav Support post 4073.

It was headed Windows 8, but most of us have been struggling with Win 10 and 10.1 updates.

The forum is for support from users.  I am sure that if you email them they will come up with the answer as they don't come onto the forum that often.

I have tried all the disable driver signing - but airnav box will not work properly, lots of glitches, plus microbox wont run at all.

Also what software version are you using with the box and the micro?

Hi chaps - been away.

The steps I took to disable driver signing were just those in Support's Windiws 8 Drivers sticky thread - thanks to Keith for the alternative way of getting to it.

OK, so I got my recently updated Windows 10 machine (which does not report as Windows 10.1, rather 10 Pro, Build 1493.222) and of course the drivers didn't work.

I followed the regular method of disabling Device Driver Signatures and reinstalled the latest drivers I had and got a message warning me of dire consequences. I acknowledged it and it is working now.

My questions are:

Will I have to go thru this every time I restart the computer?

When will properly signed drivers be available so we do not have to go thru this all the time?

You should only have to do it the once.  As far as I am aware the drivers are with Microsoft.

As far as I am aware a new signing certificate has been purchased from Microsoft and its delivery is imminent with the new drivers due soon.
