Windows 7 to Windows 10 on ANRB PC?
« on: August 02, 2015, 02:09:18 AM »
Since now Windows 10 has officially released.  Has anyone upgrade it from Win 7 with ANRB installed?  What is the experience?

Kenny / Alan
I use radarbox on two laptops. One ran on Windows 8.1 and the other on Windows 7. I upgraded both laptops on Friday and up to now both are running Radarbox perfectly fine. I was expecting to have problems but encountered none at all. I left the USB plugged into the laptop on both upgrades and the drivers were found and they both appeared as Air Nav Radarbox in Device Manager.

Hello; With only installation of Windows 10 (this is not an upgrade from win win 7 or 8), I think Radarbox does not. Yet the light is green on the same interface when the USB cable is disconnected. Thank you to tell me if there's a solution. Sincerely yours.

Which drivers did you use, I would suggest the Windows 8 ones from the support page http://www.airnavsystems.com/download/anrb/drivers/ANRB-Win8Drivers-v2.08.30.zip and use the advice given on the links above in the thread

Also I would suggest you contact [email protected] if these don't work

Did you boot Windows 10 with Driver Checking disabled (Option 7 under advanced Settings )

Yesterday I downloaded and installed Windows 10.

I did not have to do anything to ANRB, it was a smooth transition.

So far only one complaint with Windows 10, the Windows Brouser is the default, I have not been able to switch the default to Firefox which is my favourite browser.

I have installed win 10 as if it were a new installation. So I have no trace of windows 7 on my pc.
I use a SDR dongle and a weather station on two other USB devices. My RadarBox is always on the same USB port, when I was using win 7.
If anyone can explain the procedure with screenshot for my Radarbox works, it would be an asset.
I use google translation to understand the methods you give, but it reflects badly. As best I understand (I speak French and my English is basic).

Thanks for your help.

I will wait until there is finnalement compléte a solution for updating drivers win 10.
The proposed solutions are complex for me because of the language barrier.

Thank you to all.

My ANRB has been running for 24 hours on Win 10, no problems.

I started the application with "Run as Administrator"

I have upgraded from WIN7 to WIN10 with no issues. The only difference is the 'App' has the standard non certified microsoft shield on it (My Itunes App is the same). If anything the screen is better defined on the new system.
