Should I buy the latest radarbox
« on: July 24, 2015, 03:21:44 PM »
I have been away from my hobby for a couple of years and have an early radarbox,  has the latest versions of the radarbox changed significantly enough to justify replacement?

Got my box in 2007, i'm assuming the hardware has been improved since, although they still look the same, but on the other hand perhaps not and the only changes have been software updates.

Install to c:\Airnav, don't go for program files.  Once installed update the database using File/Database Explorer/Database update/Update All Records option.  Once finished you be be advised to close down and restart to finish the update process.

If you have the old version installed delete it first including any orphan files left by the uninstall process

You will also need to update logos etc

Thanks R/W 31. I followed what you stated and updated 2009 to latest. Worked well. No download problems.

Hi imropes, have you also updated the database - it will be over 220000 airframes if you have.
ANRB :  AOR AR8000 : Icom R-7000 : Icom IC-R9000 : JRC NRD-545 : OptoElectronics Digital Scout and OptoLinx Interface; Realistic Pro-2005 : UBC 800XLT - listed in alphabetical order, not cost, preference, performance or entertainment value!

That being the case it has went to the old entry as the application is only seeing the old d/b.  Use windows search to look for NavData.db3.  There may be other files similar with different extensions but you are only wanting the one with that exact name and around 68,024KB in size with todays dat.  I suspect it will be in programme files under the old radarbox folder.  Move it from there and into the new installation data folder replacing the one that is there.
