A new Nordwind. Populated today on NWS387 as VQ-BJD A321N however I believe NWS9810 is a positioning/delivery flight ex LJU to SVO so not a scheduled flight.

Hi Alan

A strange one:

A2A492 N27EL, a Lancair IV-P, is showing in the grid Aircraft column as invalid ICAO code LNPT, but Database Explorer shows its AT as a blank, so where is it getting the LNPT from?

Which leads me to a further query: the Lancair IV-P is a pressurised version of the IV, both powered by piston engines. The FAA shows N27EL has a reciprocating engine, so according to the ICAO its code should be LNC4 (it doesn't specifically mention the IV-P, just the 4). The database generally has the IV-P as LNP4, which is the turboprop version, the IV-PT Propjet. Should you change them to LNC4?

You can delete A513C6 as RA-01891 (miscode) as it is using 180763 nowadays

Rod

As is normal any errors in the database are down to me, in the case of N27EL I had for some reason entered it as LNPT for its ICAO code.  This error is now corrected

Further regarding the code the FAA give N27EL as a Lancair IV-P which I considered to be on LNP4.  I note that the Lancair IV and IV-P both use the same engine being powered by a 550 cubic inch Continental TSIO-550 twin-turbocharged piston engine and should be coded LNC4

The Lancair IV-P Propjet I note is powered by either a Walter or a PT6 Pratt & Whitney turboprop and should be coded LNP4

I must admit that I didnt know this difference and never checked the engine type when making an entry.  Now that I am aware I will check the coding for each entry.

Hi Alan
Sorry to be such a nuisance. I didn't know the difference either until I dug into the ICAO code.
While I'm here, A0C002 N4177D should be an ICAO PA18, not AL18 - don't worry - there's only one!
