Yes the hex codes for D-AIX* registrations follow in sequence like you would expect. 3C6710 decodes to D-AIXP therefore as it is being carried by D-AIXJ makes it a miscode. As can be seen from the following D-AIXI is 3C6709, D-AIXJ should therefore be using 3C670A not 3C6710.
A follows 9 then B, C, D, E, F, before it gets to 3C6710 which decodes to D-AIXP, I have therefore also got it in the database with its correct code for when it is recoded to its correct allocation. D-AIXK and D-AIXL are also included as they are due for delivery soon.
The fact that others state something is correct does not make it correct.
