Are those trails behind the aircraft or projected in front of them. If they are trails - how did you get them ?

hello
as far as i am aware they are projected course or intended track but they do change if the aircraft changes a heading.
They are very handy to have as i was out spotting in the garden yesterday and picked up loads this box is extremely accurate.
How i got the trails i can only guess that i fiddled around with the settings and it works.
This is all new to me but  i am relly plesaed with the results so far ,i have logged over 500 aircraft in 2 days !!

I know how to do that it is just in the picture they looked as though they were behind.

Just a point. I have got mine showing aircraft symbol with no projected line, however a GLF5 has just gone into Luton and haze "frozen" but the aircraft symbol is now a circle with a cross in it. Not seen that before.  I have also had my RB stop on me this morning while I nipped into the garden to cut the grass so I don't know when exactly it happened. However, the pc is a laptop and had gone into screen saver mode but not into hibernation, so dont know whether that caused it to stop.

Hi Roadrunner,

Screensaver:

Check your powersaving settings, as some are set on laptops to turn off usb devices when not doing much. If thats not the case contact support via support and they will ask you send a debug file so we can narrow down whats happening.

Aircraft:

Some transponders and data received from aircraft don't always the aircrafts heading (bug in transponders we think). This also may occur when you first have contact with an aircraft and only once more data is received then the heading data is gathered as well. Without the heading data the symbol turns into a circle as we cannot display a aircraft as we don't what its heading is.

Hope that helps.
