First fast test in IE shows the abvertisement bug and the box linking bug as fixed. But other strange behaviour was shown i.e.:

- sometimes flickering airframe symbols
- after website reload while logged in the login/logout button shows logout, but map and other settings are indicating that a logout took place.

more intense test later this day.

On Chrome no problems.

On IE initially had problems seeing the Hide Advertisments tick box but logging in sorted everything by removing the advertisement allowing me to see the box..

However problem with photos.  On Chrome photos are displaying on IE they are not.  Using the same aircraft for each try on both.  Photo download seems slow at times and is also a bit slow on the box screen

I just checked and things seem to be back to normal here at PGANRB101072.   My NetBook had crashed this morning (has never done before, runs 24/7) when it came back up photos were showing...so got rid of that screen.

Neil,
how long did your Netbook ran until now. A couple of years ago my Netbook had a crash too. After the first crash the intervall between the next and overnext crash got shorter and shorter until the netbook finally deceased.
Had the first crash after about 12 month, Netbook deceased after 18 month.

Hey Ingo.  Not a serious crash, just shut down, I only use it for AirNav, PP and an AIS feed...it has been pretty "faithful".  I just tried to open the Photos folder in RB last night . . it did not want to respond, so I think it was that that caused the "shut down".  I notice AirNav thinks it is the 19th November . .  I don't think so...mind you, I had to check!!

If you had ANRB software running for about a year 24/7 and have ticked on the photo dowload never try to open the show all photo in ANRB neither try to open the photo folder itself if it is set to "show small picture" mode. That will kill/shut down the strongest computer. WIN has problems with opening folders containing 5000+ pictures as it tries to load them into the RAM simultaniously. Have monitored it with taskmgr until Systems showed no reaction.

I use the following procedure:

- close ANRB software
- set eraser to one write only
- right mouse click select eraser from menu and select erase from eraser sub menu
- after folder had beed erased create the folder again.

Trying to clear the folder with windows had sometimes lead to system freece too. Seems that windows somehow tries to analyze the files that are due to be deleted. At some count of pictures this had freeced my pc. In other cases that part had worked, but as soon as I went to the garbage container and used the empty function the system freeced again. Eraser is much more "stupid" it searches the file anchor and starts to overwrite from this point until the end without reading the content. It takes some time but workes safely.

Neil,

If you want to open your photo folder for a look.  Go to Radarbox/Data/Photos and they open up very easy.  As Ingo states never try entering through mylog as it throws a wobbly.

Thanks Lads...managed that. Missed on my first look in DATA.

I was in preferences trying to select  no photos, but I cannot seem to save the choice. I remember that when trying to save a colour scheme I could not view the select button on the little NetBook screen...until I changed the screen format, turned it sideways and was able to select . . .phew. No one suggested that to me!

Is the selection button on the other pages at the bottom somewhere???

Alan, on a Netbook even your variant can be deadly. It depends how the folder is configurated. If it is set to details: good chance for ok, if it is set icon: good chance for ok, if it is set to small, medium or big picture it can freece the system. It doesn't happen necessarily, but it can happen. I had this twice as I was using Netbooks for my 24/7 "server". Well, there were 7000+ pictures in the folder at the time.

I temporarily connected a bigger screen to my Netbook, did my settings and disconnected the screen again.

Other way I used: opened RB on PC with big screen and counted the number of tab-key hits from defined poined on last page of preferences menu until select/apply button was selceted.

Neil,

The Apply Button is at the bottom of the screen, guess your resolution doesn't allow you to see them.  There is a screen resize programme available for such situations, I will try the search facility to find it and get back.

See you got it anyway.  If you don't want to see photos just go  to Tools and untick Show Photos
