Hi X,

Either a miscode or a corrupt packet.  Decodes to D-ASAT which I can find no details on.  How many messages from it?

2 messages would suggest to me a corrupt packet X, was there a German around at the time?

The PAAF over again with same c/s which would suggest it is a transport plane coming for aid supplies for the floods in Pakistan like the other two noted in the Gulf area.

This was the only other German around at the time I picked up 3C0800 at 23:34

3C5422  DHX570   OMDB-OBBI       D-AEAB     A306  European Air Tran... 2014/09/11 23:26:33

As I stated earlier this code has been picked up twice before by me and one other of the locals but on those occasions no other German aircraft were around. However on looking back all three pick ups were only 2 messages each so most likely bad packages as you state.

Thanks again Paul, I cant find anything on the German either.  As its in the UK, we may get lucky and get it identified.

Hi X,

The hex is quite a bit removed from the other but I don't know how these things manifest themselves.

Had a look again for the PAF on military mode-s but they had nothing near the hex, possibly a new aircraft as it hasn't been noted previous to 23/7.

Hi Alan

Box is broken and been sent off for repair, so unfortunately no requests or updates of unknowns from this part of France, for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully get it back before I head back to DXB at the end of the Month.

Noted today at sandpit that many ground vehicles seem to have changed from 896E** to R96E**.

Looks like somebody needs to visit specsavers X with all those miscodes on the ground X.  I wonder how long they will take to change them back to the correct hex.
