Hi JD

N995RK has been in the database since 03/03/12 ADE6B7 N995RK Cessna P210R Pressurized Centurion c/n P21000846 Aero-Mobil Inc and is in the FAA online register as such http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/NNum_Results.aspx?NNumbertxt=995RK certificate issued in 2009

N995RK was previously D-EEAO but was cancelled as such on 09/10/09 and my d/b shows that D-EEAO is now the Wilga since 16/08/2011 and is the 3rd aircraft to hold the registration the other one being a Maule M4. I updated 3D0F46 yesterday to the Wilga.

Hi Alan, thanks for the reply - does that mean that N995RK is still using old HEX 3D0F46 and the Flight ID was DEEAO - seems a bit strange but has maybe still been operating in Germany and is now heading over the pond.

Hi JD,

By the time it landed at Glasgow last night around 2130 I had my computer off so dont know what hex it was using but the reports on the internet state it was definately N995RK.  There is every possibility it was still showing its old ID on the transponder but it was N995RK on radio.

Just checked mylog from yesterday and did pick it up before closing down.  It was using its former ID on the transponder.  That is not an uncommon occurance and can seen every day.

The box software will show the ID of the currently allocated user of the hex as it did in this case.  One of the unfortunate consequences of aircrat flying about with miscoded transponders.
