I never said anything of the kind about you computer skills please provide your evidence to back up this assertion.  Most V5/W8 users are working away quite happily but a few are having issues and I stated that these issues are due to problems specific to the users set up and at a few hundred miles its not easy to come up with suggestions to clear them.  It helps if users are happy at finding their way around their computer and not all users have those skills which makes assisting even harder, but thankfully users like Neil get back up and running with no further problems.  His problem was nothing to do with network flights disappearing so not connected with the issue you have.

While you state you contacted  support re drivers and changes to the menu on 8.1 did you contact airnav support with your issue if so what advice did they give you about your network flights disappearing.  They are best placed to help as they have the technical knowledge to assist.

To jog your memory a little it was in the same link you told me you would not give me anymore help and it would be the last time I would hear from you.

I just want to be in a forum that’s friendly not confrontational and we all help each other all of the time if we can and not make judgements on each other

That’s the last time I will write about who said what and when  issue

In the Bug-List of first posting is missing one important misbehave:

Auto-Populate ceases function after few auto-populates were successfully performed.

proved during HVN8609 delivery flight passing my reception area.

Ingo,

If you go back to the opening of the thread, - Populate function in mylog not working as before,

However it has been fixed and will be included in the next release and now operates different to previous versions in that it only populates unknowns that are in your mylog.

For me the populate function in mylog and the auto-populate function are two different items, but it's great to hear that this one has been fixed and that another release will come.

There should be no problems with auto-populate as long as you dont click on the aircraft before the data is in the server database.  If you do click on it before it is in the database, it wont populate until the next time you pick it up and click on it or if you close down RB and then click on it.

Timeout problem persist also with 5.00.65
« Reply #127 on: February 26, 2014, 03:18:46 PM »
Hi,
I want to report that timeout problem persist when seconds to mark as timeout are set less then 4 sec. There are flights at FL350 which appear as timeout (photo attached) Also path vectors are not calibrated and wrong FL reported on ground .
I ask myself why AirNav is not focus on a good firmware which improves the performance and sensitivity ( such as competition proceeds) and not on design  of the software or so...

Dana, It might be an idea to set it for an extra second to avoid your problem.  What do you mean by path vectors are not calibrated?.  The height on ground will be fixed an a future version and is being worked on at this time.

Draw path vector in Preferences in Legends and Labels. When a airplane is changing the position the path vector is move with a delay later than aircraft label....
Thank you

Maybe I dont get your meaning but the path vector moves with the aircraft not the lable and looking at it on my computer i dont see a problem its always moving with the aircraft as it turns both in myflights and on the network

One thing I have noticed with the new updates is this...

The little aircraft icon is very slow to change its direction as the plane is turning for example........

Has anyone else noticed this?  It happens to me all the time.  Not a big deal, but thought I would bring it up.

PIcture a plane departing off the runway, then it makes a sharp turn to the left....the aircraft icon will still be pointing straight ahead....

What is your screen refresh rate set to.  Remember that it is not instant but will have a slight delay even for real time, how much is the delay?  The movement we see comes from the aircraft transponder replying to its interogation by the ground based radar therefore is not a constant or instant movement on the screen compared to the real life view although close.

Hi Alan, I will take a screenshot for you the next time I see it.  My refresh is set to the 100 Ms, fastest it can be as I have a powerful system.  I only noticed this lag after the first major update.

I guess I notice it a lot because I am a few km's from YYZ so I see all the aircraft turning on the base leg etc...the aircraft icon takes several seconds to update it's direction as opposed to before it was instant for me..

Not a biggie, but it just looks strange when an aircarft is in the turn and the icon is pointing the wrong way...

Jason,

The aircraft doesnt move on screen the instant it moves in real life, there is always a slight lag and the power of your computer will not make any difference.  The turn you see on screen is not a constant turn as the postional information is updated in reply to each interogation by the radar.  Even if you zoom right in to the aircraft the movement jumps as opposed to a constant movement and if you look at the trail line you will see that it is a series of dots showing he jumps.  At cruising altitude the time taken to make the move will usually be even longer as the interogation will not be as often.

Maybe someone with greater knowledge than myself can give a better reply.
