Photos not loading after a while "Photo not available"

I'm using version 5.00.063 under Win 8.1.  When the software first loads images to show when an aircraft is chosen.  However, after a short while, I notice that it begins to take longer for the pictures to load.   When the slow down begins, the two picture windows will show the message "Photo not available", but then ultimately show the images.  Ultimately even this stops and no images load.  If I click one of the two areas for the images, it will open a browser and show the appropriate image.  I've tried multiple aircraft and some load but many won't.

If I look at an aircraft in "Locate mode S code in Database Explorer",  I have entries in PT and LK that point to the image and copyright author.

What is in the PTTN and PTTN2 fields?

Has it always been like that or has it just started.  Where is Airnav installed on the compter?  Did you have a previous version installed and was it OK?

There is no entry in either field.

This is a fresh load on a new system.  The software is installed in C:\AirNav RadarBox  On my old drive I didn't have this issue, but I don't remember if I had this version or the previous beta version installed.  With 4.0.3  I didn't have this issue.  Or, at least not to the extent I have today.

I presume you have the boxes ticked in Preferences/Radarbox/Photo and Aircraft Auto populate.  Not having these ticked would be the only reason I can think of why you wouldnt be getting any photos ?

Sorry Rich I havent a clue.  If I click on an aircraft which doesnt have a photo in the photo folder, it is downloaded within 4-5 seconds.  There should be an entry in the PTTN and or PTTN fields when one/two photos are downloaded.

Maybe an email to support will find and answer for you

Well,  I can confirm that enabling sharing will then display the aircraft photos.

Why would AirNav do this?  Am I being punished for not sharing my data?

Right back to the first V5 thread you will find the following

Regarding access to flight information/photos/aircraft information as retrieved from the server and how V5 deals with it:
- If user is not a network subscriber he will continue to have access to the above data if he is sharing his mode-s comms;
- If user is a network subscriber he will access the data with or without sharing;
