Good morning

My RB software stopped responding at midnight on 31 December with a message "Beta version -date limitation applies".  Same message appeared on restarting the software.  When I change the windows clock to an earlier date, the program starts but of course all the alerts have the incorrect date.  Is there a new Beta patch available?

Thanks

I am awaiting news on one was hoping it would be out today but nothing so far.  It will be posted when available.

Further to the previous post.  The message that pops up is "Date Limitation Active".  It keeps creating new pop-ups with this message resulting in an ever increasing load in system resources.  Is it possible for this limitation to be removed whilst we await a new version?

So, no update downloading and ANRB restarts until the new beta is out! Hopefully I won't have any inconvenient windows trouble after midnight... (fingers crossed)

EDIT: This time an "active" freezing of beta software while SW is running in normal parameters? Which "genius" brain came up with that "cool" behaviour?

Interesting side-effect:

Depending on how many users are using the beta SW we will see a hour by hour shut down of RB24.com. I'll be off in 3h 51mins...

It is designed to show users that they are using an out of date beta however one would have hoped that the replacement would be out before expiry.  It wouldnt usually effect users with their computers running, I believe it only stops when you close down RB and try and restart.  So if you want your RB 5.00.62 beta to keep on going, dont close it down.

Reminding one user of the fact that he is using a beta software by pop-ups or making the SW inoperational at a specific time are in my humble opinion two different shoes. Maybe one shall consider to leave SW operational especially if one is needing the users to feed other vendors offered by the one.  Just a thought... ;-)

My recommendation to AirNav is to give up on the idea of an expiry date on the v63 beta.  In fact I've recommended to Andre that AirNav should release v63 as a full production release with no expiry date, so hopefully he'll take notice of this.

I have had it confirmed that as long as RB is not closed down, the beta expiry will not have an effect.

That's very useful when for some reason the pop up occurring caused radar box to crash...

Am trying to install a previous version. I'm normally pretty happy with Airnav, but you would have thought that they'd have leart from the recent past to maybe make a note in their diary that they need to put a new version out before the old one expires...

I did not close down and the warning came up at midnight, so I assume everyone will be locked out when the Beta hits midnight in each timezone.

UK has two hours to go from now at 0157 my time

Not good!
