Hi all, well, for me this has been an absolute waste of time - deleted all ANRB files and references, then downloaded and installed V.5, but if I open RB now, I get Google Earth opening page, which offers 3D view, got to map and close 3D - all I get is a grey screen with the usual toolbar at the top, which isn't of any use to man nor beast.   If I go into ANRB file nowhere can I find ANRB.exe  I give up!
ANRB :  AOR AR8000 : Icom R-7000 : Icom IC-R9000 : JRC NRD-545 : OptoElectronics Digital Scout and OptoLinx Interface; Realistic Pro-2005 : UBC 800XLT - listed in alphabetical order, not cost, preference, performance or entertainment value!

Liviu,

These flight returning within 3 hours.  Can you confirm that you mean the same aircraft with a different flight ID.

Same problem here, or some flights appear as time out on the map during all flight.
And one question: why some ground equipment with ads-b not shown on map ? with other ADS-B receiver i can see on the map such as MLAT equipment on the airport. On RB appear in the flights list only...
A good thing that I noticed after upgrade is that the airplanes are moving with much more fluency on the map than before .

MLAT is not a feature that's currently available in Radarbox.

One more thing about the photos.
3DD806 (343 EC-135) does not have any photos on A.net, but a photo of a MiG-23 of the East Germany's Air Force has been freshly dowloaded (as it is specified in the database):

Hi Liviu,

Thanks for bringing to my attention.  I have went went through the database 2 or 3 times and changed all the military aircraft showing the wrong photo to correct ones or where there were none available i added the photo not available link.  I can only suspect I missed this one, either that or the photo was added automatically by the system since the last time I checked.  I have removed the spurious links and replaced them with photo unavailable and would suggest you remove the offending photos from your folder and delete the links in the Navdata or carry out an update tomorrow and the change will be in the downloaded Navdata

There are lots of military aircraft in the database without links and some spurious ones will be downloaded from time to time.  There are too many aircraft in the databse for me to add photo links for each one which is liable to be downloaded wrongly.

Thanks again

Alan

Jon.
I had the same prob as you. ( I don't subscribe to 3D either). I downloaded all the google earth data then when my map screen appeared it was blank showing nothing at all even though the flight list was populating. I then hit the map view button and voila everything appeared on my map screen as it was in 4.03.
Hope that helps.

Yes. Example attached. Flights ROT703/ROT704.

LE. And another example with less than 3 hours between rotations (WZZ1LY/WZZ8JV)

Both of these look like correct behaviour to me.  In the first example, YR-ATC changed FlightID sometime between 7:28am and 9:29am, and so RB started a new flight record when it first detected the new FlightID of ROT704.  In the second example, HA-LWQ changed FlightID sometime between 13:17 and 14:30 to WZZ8JV.  Remember, RB keeps the same FlightID until it receives the transmission of a new FlightID, which will typically be in response to a ModeS squitter from a base station.

Radarbox works to a 3 hour rule.  If any ModeS message is receive for an aircraft within 3 hours of the START date/time, it is considered to be the same flight UNLESS the FlightID is different.

That makes no sense. Should be something like max 15 minutes.

Noted, something for us to consider, and has been added to the task list.

I think 3 hours is too much.
See the private planes or helicopter, or military flights, with the same flightID all day, like register FlightID.

I agree.

And this is the first time I hear about the "3 hours" rule :(
