Map issue
« on: September 20, 2013, 09:00:12 AM »
Hi all

Does anyone experienced a Map Window issue?  I´m getting a blank window every now and then... (more the "now", lately) the map freezes, shows a blank window. It's getting annoying and I'm getting tired.

Any help will be welcomed, thank you
Paul

Hi Paul,

Unlike myflights, Network flights only move after connection to the server which it does every 20 seconds.  If you look at the bottom line in the middle under the map you get a commentry of what it is doing.

My issue is that the MAP WINDOW freezes every time I start the Network connection to the server. All works fine, I can see the network flights and all its data and movements. The problems is, it freezes the map window, steel can see the flights listings but on the map window nothing moves.
Hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
Regards
Paul

Looking at your opening comments it looks like it worked OK previously and has just started to do this, is this the case?  Also myflights work OK until you tick the Get Network box and then your map freezes both for myflights and network flights.

Hi

That's correct... I'll risk saying that it started about 2 to 3 weeks ago.

Paul,

If it was OK previously you may have some corruption somewhere and it may be worthwhile carrying out a re-install of the software.

Hi Paul, you say no updates - are you certain that Windows auto update is definitely disabled - I had problems with that.    If that doesn't help, save any AN files and records you wish to be able to access to a totally different file location.   Delete all references to AN and RB, including RB program, and start afresh with a download and installation of ANRB 4.03 would be my next step.   HTH
ANRB :  AOR AR8000 : Icom R-7000 : Icom IC-R9000 : JRC NRD-545 : OptoElectronics Digital Scout and OptoLinx Interface; Realistic Pro-2005 : UBC 800XLT - listed in alphabetical order, not cost, preference, performance or entertainment value!

And DON`T save to the default location. Is there any gain in 2D from V 4.03 over 3.13?
