In this window here

It's very frustrating when trying to find/select a particular flight and the info keeps jumping around.
Is there a way to stop it?

Thanks
Steve

I think you are sorting by altitude which mean climbing/descending aircraft will jump all over the place.  Sort by registration or mode S code and it will jump around far less.

I'm sorting by ADS-B/Aircraft/Distance/....whatever takes my fancy.
They jump around and I can't stop them!!!!!!

Which sort order you use will affect how much rows jump around - I normally sort by Flight ID, which gives much more stability than altitude or distance, which change rapidly. Mode S or Registration will also give more stable results.

So there is no way of stopping/pausing it?

I don't think so - the whole point is that it's live :-)

If you are looking for a particular flight and know its flight ID, registration or whatever you could always use the quick filter.

Flight ID = *****  or Registration = ***** or even filter by type so see for example only B788.  Just remember to press show all after your search to see everything and not just the filter.

Jetset - I am the same in preferring to sort by altitude but it is incredibly frustrating just how much it jumps around. I was at Heathrow yesterday and even picking an aircraft that was on the ground did not stop it jumping around like a thing possessed.  System cannot lock onto 1 aircraft and stay locked for more than a few seconds which is very frustrating.

I know that by sorting by other info does help but if you have a lot of flights in the data line box it is very to find one that has just taken off - sorting by altitude is by far the best way to find this out rather that trying to find one that is moving.

Hi

Just come across this thread and maybe I am being thick, but how do you change the sort sequence.

Just click the column headings - once to sort by that column, click again to reverse the sort order.

Thanks Rod.

I always thought it was a random order that I had no control over.
