Yes and no. The Navdata is taken from the server on a regular basis and made available to users to download to their computer to update their database. We try to issue a new Navdata around every fortnight but there may be occasions where the info on myflights may differ from the network server supplied info as the server data may have been changed since the Navdata was extracted.
The server is being updated all the time so there may be records on it that are not the same as on your computer. Examples. new aircraft come on line, old ones are retired, scrapped, put into storage, aircraft change registrations, owners etc. Routes are added, deleted, amended etc. ICAO issues new codes for aircraft types, we learn of an airport which isnt in the database, airport ICAO codes change, airlines come and go etc.
WZZ seem to be changing their flight ID's on a weekly basis, some airlines change on the issuing of their winter or summer timetable using flight ID's which have been used before on another route. Some airlines use the same flight ID on different routes dependent on the day of the week, I try not to include these. Airlines start new routes all the time with new flight ID's
The FAA weekly update on Monday saw 200 new hex/registrations issued. Some were new aircraft, some were previously registered worldwide. At the same time a further 53 aircraft were deregistered by the FAA.
As we change the Navdata about every two weeks it isnt much of a problem.
You can carry out a manual data populate for new aircraft through mylog or by clicking on an unknown aircraft to force a download of the details if they are in the d/b and you can amend the your d/b manually as well.
Nothing stays the same unfortunately.
