Quick curious question since i'm not really getting much of a response on the FB group. This doesn't really have anything to do with Radarbox either but I don't see another forum for other AirNav products. With 1 % traffic setting I get accurate flights. But with 100% I get flights that haven't flown in days, months or years. What is the sweet spot?

No Network all day, states reconnecting in 30 secs starts counting gets to 4 and then repeats the process.

Its the same for me as well, I haven't had an alert since January 5th.  It would be nice to get some sort of response from an AirNav employee as to what is going on specifically with the email alerts, since its the primary feature I use, being that I have a life away from my Nav box, and home desk.

We have stated that it is being investigated and we hope to have this rectified soon. There is no need to keep posting asking us the same question, as advised earlier we will post once we have rectified the issue.

Considering the money we all paid for the Hardware/Software package, the same money that goes into your pocket, I think that warrants us a bit of patience, candor, and some further explanation in regards to the issue on your part, AirNav Support.

We all know your "investigating the issue".. some details would be nice.. and an ETA other than "soon" might be in order as well. That might even get some people to stop asking the same questions...over and over. Just a thought..

There is no ETA as of yet as we are still trying to rectify the issue.

The technical issue: As you may recall we had issues with alerts, emails in the past with many not being sent. Some customers have setup there alerts to send emails as soon as new flight is picked up, in total with many RadarBoxes across the world such a large amount of alert emails being sent this puts extreme pressure on the server/mail server to cope with this load. Many ISPs then indentify us as spam mail server incorrectly. We had created a different way to handle this situation on our old server.

The new server we are using now, this needs to be redeveloped to handle the differences in the server setup. We are doing our best to get this changed and isn't a simple "flick the switch" job.

For the future the new software version will have an option to bypass our servers for mails and for the customer to use there own mail server.

Thank you AirNav Support, I appreciate the detailed update.  Sorry I was a bit cranky in my previous post, just missing my alerts and not enough coffee yet. One of those mornings.

And my apologies if all that info was clearly stated somewhere else previous, I haven't seen it, there's lots going on for you guys right now with the new site/service, and lots to read to get all the details. The ideas being thrown around about RB24 Beta and all look promising.

The idea's for the new software sound great too!

Thank you again.

That will be the way to go.  With the JSTARS app you can put in your ISP SMTP details and its alerts are sent direct from your ISPs mail servers.

If I submit a support ticket but fail to recieve a support notification that there will be a response within 24 hours does that mean that AirNav has blocked my e mail from sending in support tickets or questions to [email protected] even though I am a active and paying member?

russianspd,

If you don't get a response PM us the details of your ticket and we will investigate. It may have been deemed as spam.
