map display query
« on: February 16, 2013, 02:29:34 PM »
Hi,

Any tips about improving the map display following this issue appearing..

A number of a/c at higher levels are appearing on the my list in reasonable time but actually do not appear
on the map until they are either right over the top of my home location of just after.

is there anything I can do to the settings?

Check the timeout length on your network flights.  Would suggest 90 seconds would be a good timeout limit.

I sometimes experience a similar effect.  The aircraft are shown in the interface, but do not show on the map.

If I then press ESC to make a full screen map, and then press ESC again to return the screen to normal, the missing aircraft show up.

I think this may be because I do not have a good graphics card.  Could that be so?

Thanks for the response. I have that setting.

Still occuring. Anything FL300(ish) does not show up until it has past the house (just) and not appearing just prior.

I am assuming its a line of site issue. A/C going over house at 4000ft do appear its just the upper level tfc.
