Hi Mike,

The route should be in without the leading zero and the software should work as you suggest.  Unfortunately there are thousands of routes in the d/b with leading zeros and unfortunately I can only delete them one at a time with the present updater but this is one of the things I hope to have improved.  In the meantime, ss I find a leading zero I delete it.

The automatic route look up routines add the flight ID that they see to the d/b and are not clever enough to remove the leading zero, one up for humans. UAE418 and UAE0418 were both added a couple of months ago by the automatic look up routines which I should add have been improved upon in the last month, although at times they still get it wrong, as does the human!!

As we can only have 3 stops in a route at this time, I have removed NZCH as it doesnt have a network contributer t this time.

Thanks again.

Alan

Hi Neil,

50817A unknown to me
AB1FBC decodes to N816AX not assigned by FAA.  Previous holder is now 9G-RAC DC-8-63F which is/was stored at Rak Al Khaimah since February 2011

Hi Neil,

I am advised by John Hargreaves that 9R-RAC is back in the air so that would be it you picked up this morning

Hi Steve,

Many thanks for those.

8A022A was the hex used by PK-WFJ AT75 of Wings Abadi on its delivery flight out of Toulouse hence the Various tag.  Did you see it and what hex was it using.

89905B is as you will be aware a Taiwanese hex code and was confirmed on the delivery flight in March last year of B-22316 of Transasia.  PK-YVE was formerly B-22306 until it was sold by Transasia in 2008.  One of the pitfalls of miscodes and re-issueing used ones.
